Financial Learning Platform

Project Overview

Finology is an AI-powered financial learning platform designed to help users understand stocks and markets through real-time data and guided insights. Instead of separating education from tools, the platform combines live market information with AI-assisted explanations, allowing users to learn concepts directly within the context of real data.

Problem

Most finance platforms are built for experienced users and assume prior knowledge. Beginners are often left navigating dense dashboards, unfamiliar terminology, and disconnected learning resources. At the same time, educational platforms tend to rely on static content, which makes it difficult for users to connect what they learn with what is actually happening in the market.

Goals

The goal was to create a learning experience that integrates education, real-time data, and AI guidance into a single, cohesive interface.

Research

I focused on how beginners approach learning finance, especially where they struggle with onboarding and information overload. A key insight was that users learn better when concepts are tied directly to real examples rather than abstract explanations. This led to a structure where educational content, AI assistance, and live data are closely connected instead of separated into different sections.

UX Decisions

The experience was designed around a learn to explore to understand flow. Instead of isolating features, each part of the platform supports learning.

• Content is progressively revealed rather than shown all at once

UI Design

The interface uses a dark theme with high contrast to improve readability for data-heavy screens. Accent colors are used selectively to highlight key interactions, such as important metrics or actionable insights. Cards, charts, and content blocks are designed to feel structured and scannable, helping users quickly move between learning and exploration without feeling overwhelmed.

Development

The platform was built using a component-based architecture to ensure scalability and consistency across the interface.

Outcome

Finology creates a more connected learning experience by combining education, real-time data, and AI into a single platform. The result is a product that feels more approachable while still providing meaningful depth.

Reflection

This project reinforced that learning tools are not just about content, but about context and timing. By combining AI, real-time data, and structured design, the experience becomes more intuitive and engaging. Small decisions in layout, hierarchy, and interaction can significantly impact how users understand complex information.
